Founded in 2004, TechTAC® is comprised of second-generation oil field workers who spent years in the field on drilling and workover rigs running downhole production tools, wireline services and pipe recovery operations. The company’s name comes from the combination of “technical” and “tubing anchor catcher,” or TAC. It’s that mission – bringing innovation and unmatched customer service to traditional technologies and equipment – that continues to drive TechTAC® today.
Relying on decades of experience, TechTAC® designed and developed the Slimline® Tubing Anchor Catcher.
Thanks to a reduced overall diameter and tapered design, the Slimline® increases the flow of fluid around the anchor and through the annulus by as much as 245%. This increased flow-by capacity helps to reduce, or even eliminate, common challenges to oil well production like gas locking and sediment buildup.
TechTAC® products are sourced and manufactured in the United States using high-quality American steel. Our team includes highly skilled machinists, mechanics and product designers in locations throughout the U.S., including Midland; Oklahoma City; Vernal, Utah; Williston, North Dakota; and Salt Lake City.
