Assembly Tip: Inserting Slips into the Anchor Housing

A TechTAC Slimline Tubing Anchor Catcher

The many benefits of running a Slimline® Tubing Anchor Catcher are realized, in large part, thanks to the anchor’s reduced OD. However, when it comes to assembling the TAC, that smaller OD can create some pretty tight spaces. In particular, without the right technique, inserting slips into the anchor housing can lead to some frustration and colorful language.

In the video below, TechTAC’s Midland Regional Manager Weston Hendricks demonstrates an ideal way for inserting slips into the Slimline® housing. Do you have other assembly tips you could share? Record yourself demonstrating the tip (less than 1 minute) and send it to info@techtacco.com. Every tip that gets published on the TechTAC® blog earns the sender a $75 Amazon gift card!
