After spending nearly a decade supporting and then managing TechTAC’s operations in Midland, Weston Hendricks has moved and set up shop in the company’s new Floresville, Texas, facility. From that location, he can better support our growing number of customers in and around the Eagle Ford Basin with high-quality tubing anchors and related solutions.

As for Midland, there’s a new face in town.
Mario Hernandez Jr. has joined TechTAC as the new Regional Sales Manager in our Midland shop. Mario brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent 20 years in the oil patch selling, installing and supporting a wide variety of downhole tools.

Born and raised in Midland, Mario has watched and weathered many ups and downs in the oil industry, and he still finds great excitement in contributing to the future of energy. To get to know Mario a little better, we asked him these questions:
How long have you been with TechTAC?
Since January 5, 2026.
What other jobs have you had? Which one was the worst and why?
From construction to a carwash to the oilfield, I don’t think I’ve ever really had a bad job – maybe just jobs I’d rather not do.
What do you like most about TechTAC?
Mainly the support. It’s refreshing to see a company give clear direction and resources to its employees.
What do you like most about living in Midland?
Besides being close to immediate family, I would say the sense of community Midland has.
What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies?
My daughter is involved in seventh-grade athletics, as well as a competitive cheer team. My son is in mid-season for both soccer and baseball. So, I’m not sure what free time is!
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Besides family accomplishments, I’m proud of my two marathon finishes.
In your opinion, what makes TechTAC successful?
The company stands by its tubing anchor catchers 100 percent and provides good support to customers and end users.
What would you like our customers and future customers in the Permian to know about you and the company?
TechTAC has built strong relationships in the Permian, and I look forward to strengthening those connections.
