The clays didn’t stand a chance.
The TechTAC team and some of our top customers and partners from across the Bakken gathered last week in Williston, N.D., for some clay shooting as part of a customer appreciation event. While there were some lowlights on the course, several attendees demonstrated impressive marksmanship.

The evening’s top shooter was Keegan Peterson of Liberty Lift, who tallied an impressive 33/50 score. Close behind was silver medalist Adrian Tul of Murex Petroleum Corporation, who shot 32/50. The final spot on the podium went to TechTAC’s own Kodi Crager, with a score of 31/50. Although Kodi is a firearms aficionado, he had never before been clay shooting. He preferred weapons with more precision he liked to say. But after one evening at the Painted Woods Sporting Range, Kodi was hooked. Going forward if he’s ever delayed on an anchor delivery, you might need to check the shooting range.

In addition to shooting, the group enjoyed a gourmet meal courtesy of A&M Catering in Williston, as well as an impressive list of prizes and giveaways. The winner of the evening’s grand prize – a Savage shotgun – was Isaac Mendieta from Q2. Other prizes included an RTIC cooler, electronic ear muffs, shooting lessons (for our lowest scorers), and several more.

During the event, Luke Reary, TechTAC’s director of sales and product management, talked with the group about TechTAC’s product pipeline. In particular, he discussed the upcoming availability of the patent-pending Slimline Full Bore TAC in additional sizes. The 5.5-inch version of the company’s latest anchor innovation has already demonstrated the ability to deliver increased production and reduced downtime thanks to the combination of a slim OD and a full bore ID. Delivering that TAC in additional sizes can unlock those benefits for a whole new class of wells.
